What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

i enjoy talking and teaching students and seeing them genuinely understand a concept. I find it especially rewarding when a student can eventually solve a question independently that they initially thought was too difficult. I also enjoy adapting the way I explain something depending on the student, because not everyone learns in the same way. Becasue in my experience of going tutoring in high school and tutoring is primary school not just about getting the right answer, but becoming more confident in their own ability to learn through different styles adn methods of approaching problems .

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

One of my main strengths is that I can explain concepts in a simple and practical way without making students feel like they are behind. Having recently experienced the challenges of high school myself, I understand how confusing a topic can feel when it is explained in a way that does not suit you. I am patient, approachable and willing to explain something in multiple ways until it makes sense. I also try to identify the reason a student is struggling rather than simply giving them the answer, so they develop the skills to approach similar questions independently.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

I believe the most important thing a tutor can do is build a student's confidence while still challenging them to improve. A tutor should create an environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes without feeling judged. It is also important to listen carefully and recognise that every student has different strengths, weaknesses and learning styles. Rather than simply giving students answers, I think a good tutor should guide them through the thinking process, gradually give them more independence, and help them develop study habits and problem-solving skills
