What do I enjoy most about tutoring? π
I love seeing the moment something clicks for a student and they go from needing step-by-step guidance to just figuring things out on their own. Once a student starts experimenting with their own ideas, I know that they have fully understood the lesson. There are times where students will even come up with something I've never seen or thought of, and I end up learning from them too. Getting students excited and confident enough that they can even teach me something new is one of the most rewarding parts of tutoring.My Strengths as Tutor πͺ
One of my biggest strengths as a tutor is being able to break down complicated technical concepts into smaller, more digestible parts. I am also good at figuring out how to adapt the lessons to the interests of the student. For example, if there is anything that they're really excited about such as a show or game that they love, I try to tailor my lessons in that theme so they are more excited about it. This especially applies in teaching coding, as I can more easily design projects or activities that are in the theme of something they like. This usually gets students more invested.Most important things I can do for a student π
I think the most important thing we can do for students is build their curiosity and genuine interest in a subject. When students are interested in what theyβre learning, they become more willing to ask questions, experiment, and challenge themselves rather than simply trying to get the right answer. Over time, I think that curiosity builds the confidence they need to approach problems independently.
