What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I enjoy the moment a maths concept finally clicks for a student, seeing them move from frustration to confidence. Maths often comes with a lot of anxiety, so I like breaking it into manageable steps and adapting my approach to how each student learns best. Watching their confidence grow, not just their grades, is what makes it rewarding.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I'm good at breaking complex maths problems into simple, logical steps, and I adapt quickly to how each student thinks best, whether that's visually or verbally. I'm also quick to spot exactly where a student's understanding breaks down, so I can focus on that gap rather than re-explaining everything. My analytical background helps me notice patterns in where students consistently struggle and adjust accordingly.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
Build their confidence, not just their marks. A student who believes they can improve will keep trying even when a topic is hard. Meet them at their actual level of understanding rather than assuming, and be patient enough to revisit fundamentals if that's where the gap is. And make sure they leave each session actually understanding the "why" behind a method, not just memorising steps, so they can apply it independently later.
