What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I enjoy the moment when a student suddenly sees something differently and a concept that felt difficult starts to make sense. I also really like seeing students gain confidence and realise they can methodically handle problems that initially seemed out of reach.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I think one of my main strengths is being able to quickly understand how a student is thinking and where the difficulty comes from. I’m comfortable explaining the same idea in different ways, asking questions and adapting the level of detail depending on the student.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

Help them understand rather than just memorise (although sometimes, depending on the student and the situation, getting a method to work reliably can be more useful than insisting on perfect conceptual understanding), identify the specific gaps that are holding them back, and give them enough targeted practice to become independent. And tell them to write down calculations instead of trying to do everything in their head!
