What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I deeply enjoy the sense of fulfilment I can gain whilst tutoring and supporting students in their learning journey. I find it deeply fulfilling seeing student’s confidence grow as they begin to understand learning concepts they initially found difficult.

My Strengths as Tutor πŸ’ͺ

Some strengths of mine are that I am a friendly and approachable person who loves meeting new people. I believe this is especially important as a tutor because it helps create a comfortable learning environment where students feel confident asking questions. Another strength of mine is that am patient and genuinely passionate about tutoring. I understand that a lot of students won’t understand an explanation first try so I am always willing to adapt and find different ways to explain learning concepts so that the student feels fully supported in their learning.

Most important things I can do for a student πŸ…

I believe that fully understanding each individual student, including their strengths, weaknesses and preferred learning style, is very important for a tutor. This allows the student to feel supported throughout their learning journey and ensures they can gain the most benefit from each session. I also believe it is important to promote problem-solving rather than relying on memorisation or simply giving students the answers. Encouraging students to work through problems independently helps them develop skills that are essential to their learning and builds their confidence.
