What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
For me the enjoyable part is seeing the moment where something clicks for an individual. It is quite a rewarding feeling as it can happen over weeks and watching a student dread a topic to being confident in it is something I can look forwards toMy Strengths as Tutor 💪
I believe that my three strongest strengths are my perseverance, speaking ability and subject depth. I believe I have cultivated these by continuing university and work in a math related discipline which is quite mentally taxing. Furthermore, I have also improved my patience and speaking skills by dealing with all sorts of customers while taking calls for Centrelink where I had to take care of people who did not understand their situation and take them through their issues step by step.Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
The most important thing a tutor can do for a student, in my opinion is to make them feel confident alongside the knowledge they learn. One of the bigger pitfalls for students in my opinion is that they may have the knowledge, but not the confidence and hence my double check their work and change their answer to something incorrect.
