What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I love the moment something clicks, when a topic someone's been stuck on finally makes sense. I've seen it tutoring my younger sister in maths, and watching her go from frustrated to confident is really rewarding. That's what I'm looking forward to across maths, chemistry and English.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
My biggest strength is patience. Everyone learns at a different pace, so when a concept doesn't land, I try explaining it differently, with a new example or smaller steps, rather than just repeating myself. Working front of house at a busy dessert store has also taught me to stay calm and friendly under pressure.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
Building a student's confidence, not just their marks. Many struggling students have decided they're "just not good at" a subject, so helping them feel capable changes everything. That means explaining things in a way that suits them, letting them work through problems themselves, and making mistakes feel okay, so they understand why and can tackle new questions on their own.
