What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I am currently in university studying to be a teacher so I would love to have a role that suits my future career. I like tutoring because I can help students on specific concepts that they don’t understand.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I believe that I am a very patient person and I would be happy to go over concepts the student is struggling to understand. I recently completed my first placement for my degree and got to help out in a highschool, I helped students in groups and one on one to understand concepts such as year 7 science and year 8 math. I quickly built a good relationship with these students in the short time I was there and it just confirmed how much I love becoming an educator.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

I think building a good relationship first and making the student feel safe to learn with the tutor. Making sure that the student feels heard about what they need help on and not feel like they are not good enough or embarrassed. I think revising what was learnt each time to make sure the student has actually grasped what you have taught them.
