What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
"What I enjoy most is the moment a concept finally clicks for a student. With maths and physics, a lot of students walk in convinced they're just 'not a maths person', and it's rarely true. Usually there's one gap further back that's tripping them up. Finding that gap and watching their confidence change is the best part for me.
After about eight years of tutoring, I also like that no two students are the same. One needs a visual explanation, another needs to work through problems step by step, so I'm always adjusting.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
Patience and adaptability, dedication , hardwork , empathy with the students.I can break a hard idea into simple steps, and I'm quick at finding exactly where a student is stuck .I'm reliable. I show up prepared, I follow up on progress, and I keep students confident that they can improve."
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
"The most important thing a tutor can do is build a strong foundation. Most struggles come from an earlier gap, so I find that gap and fix it before moving on. That goes hand in hand with confidence. When students understand why something works, they stop guessing and start believing they can do it.
Beyond that, I think a tutor should also:
Teach students how to learn, not just the content: how to check their own work, spot their own mistakes, and study effectively.
Keep them motivated by setting small, visible goals and celebrating progress.
Also to give honest, specific feedback.
