What do I enjoy most about tutoring?
Meeting interesting, enthusiastic people/students and finding out about their various interests and goals. Being able to use my skills to help these people achieve those goals is something that i would take honour in.
My Strengths as Tutor
-Memory of being a HSc student is still very recent, so i can understand the needs and wants of a high school student.
-I am confident in my abilities to effectively communicate with my students, and explain conceptual ideas in a simple way.
-I consider myself fairly well at 'bringing out the strengths in others' and acknowledging each person's specific strengths and weaknesses-I think i will be bale to help students develop their own personal styles.
Most important things I can do for a student
-I think it is necessary for a tutor to consider each student as a separate individual, with separate needs, and requires separate strategies of approach.I think it is important to pick up on the strengths and weaknesses that are unique to each student, and using that as a baseline to create a strategy of approach.
