What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
Personally, I enjoy seeing the progress students make. Over the course of time, it has been clear that my assistance has enabled a clear improvement in not just exam scores, but general English skills and intelligence. I find this very rewarding.
Additionally, I have a great degree of interest in the HSC. After basically being obsessed with the system during Yr 12, I find I am still very interested in the subjects and their intricacies. Continuing to engage with the HSC is very enjoyable.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I think one of my strengths as a tutor is engagement with students. As I come from a somewhat non-typical academic background, with a focus on humanities, I feel this allows me to connect with students in a more creative and personal manner. I have found that developing common interests and rapport outside of schoolwork improves the experience overall.
Additionally, I have a large degree of experience and prowess across several academic disciplines. I was extremely pleased with my academic results in both Sciences, Maths and Humanities. I have continued to excell in University.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I think the key thing a tutor can do for a student is ensure that their individual learning habits are in order, creating an essential degree of independence. I have found it extremely valuable to ensure students develop a solid work ethic and understand how they can study effectively. In this sense tutoring plays a supplementary role, ensuring their academic success is largely their one.
Additionally, it is extremely important to ensure a broad understanding of course content, and the intricacies of HSC examination.
