The value in a one-on-one private English tutor is that they can focus entirely on your child and organise lessons around their specific goals and challenges. With the right support mechanisms every student can succeed. And ... that success is often life-changing for students, it serves as undeniable proof that if they apply themselves they can achieve success where they previously failed. It's just about the best lesson a young person can learn.

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
I have reviewed many strategies with Max which include: Pen to Paper, Backchecking, Talking/Thinking Aloud, Identifying Patterns, and Process of Elimination. He told me he was able to apply some of these in school. We are continuing to add to this repertoire as is applicable
James and Jack have a positive and cheery attitude during lessons. They sometimes struggle to concentrate when they are tired but overall, they are well mannered and a pleasure to teach. They always come to class prepared and having attempted all homework questions. Their work habits and commitment to maths is highly commendable. They should continue to do well in maths if they keep up the great work!
Keira has greatly improved her understanding of multiplication/division relationships between numbers, which is easing the problem of not being a master at times tables. Some algebra skills still need practicing.
Please be advised that I would like to cease the tutoring services of your company. My boy has greatly benefited from the tutoring of Robin who has shown great patience, ability and caring. I did inform Robin last night that I was not continuing with tutoring as I feel Liam is now back on the Maths track. If I need further assistance, I'll give you a call. Thanks (especially to Robin).
Yes, Lauren is fantastic!! Jesse is actually enjoying the work and doing Lauren's set homework (and it's the holidays)! Thank you so much!
thanks for your enquiry. Isabella is enjoying her time with Manisha and the topics they are covering are all starting to sink in. Isabella likes they way Manisha explains things to her and feels comfortable in asking questions. Manisha seems like a very capable person and I like her professional manner in all things. At end of each lesson, she runs through with me what has been covered and leaves Isabella with some tips and exercises to go over during the week. I am pleased with how things are progressing and will continue until Isabella feels like she is at a place where she no longer requires assistance.
