What do I enjoy most about tutoring? π
From past mentoring experiences, I have by far enjoyed seeing how my student progresses the most. Being able to empower another individual and give them confidence with a subject which they were self-conscious in the past is extremely rewarding.
My Strengths as Tutor πͺ
My primary strength as a tutor would be my approachable and positive personality. I believe above everything a tutor should be someone which a student can feel comfortable with in order to learn and really make an impact in their learning. As a psychology student, I also understand that different people process and understand information in different manners. Through this I can adapt my tutoring style to make learning as effective as possible, as well as providing adequate studying techniques. I am also thoroughly organised, and believe that maintaining structure and timelines is crucial to proactive learning.
Most important things I can do for a student π
I think the most important thing we can do as tutors is provide confidence. Itβs the core of everything. Confidence radiates from knowing the content, trusting yourself with the hard work youβve put in and reflecting upon past mistakes with a positive mindset to move forward. Whether it be in studying, work or life, confidence is key.
