What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
Spreading knowledge, creating a free thinking mind, and allowing critical analysis using concepts that are taught and applied to the outside world. Consider a student that has memorised formulae against a student that understands it from first principles. If they are faced with a challenge in the outside world, would the student that memorised it be able to understand when to apply it?
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
Explaining difficult concepts in a way that is relatable for the student.
In depth knowledge about a lot of seemingly unconnected disciplines, with a strong ability to be able to connect them. This provides a deeper insight into the world for the student. Unique examples such as connecting WWII and Math together, through a demonstration of accuracy with artillery fire using trigonometry and projectile motion and other concepts taught at the HSC level.
Allowing the student to ask questions that challenge their predefined view on concepts to enhance their understanding.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
Education is the backbone to providing students with a toolkit that allow them to solve their life's problems. Without education from a variety of sources, an unbalanced individual can be created and will have difficulty in life. Therefore a tutor should be able to influence the student by providing insight unique to the school experience whilst relating the lessons taught at the school level as important.
