I enjoy being able to help someone who finds math daunting and getting them to a level where they feel confident in their mathematical abilities. I think that I am patient and if a student needs to go over a topic even 10 times I would be as helpful as I can be. Patience is a great asset especially with younger students. I am very easily approachable as I have a friendly personality and I can adapt well to different needs of different students. The most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to assure them that being able to understand and improve in math is not impossible for them. Encouraging the students at every step of the way is extremely important to help build their confidence and this is something that many students do not get at school. A tutor should also help build the students understanding on fundamental concepts of math rather than just helping them solve a question. A good foundation in the core topics will help the student in understanding further topics.
