What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
The idea that during university I can use my brain (outside of classes) to assist people rather than working a job that ultimately, doesn't require to think. I also love that I can help those who require it, and that progress can be measured.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
My two strengths in tutoring are patience and dynamism. These two strengths work hand in hand. One must have patience, and through that patience be able to cater to the learning style of the student. My best skill is being able to explain topics intuitively.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
One of the best things a tutor can do for a student is offer encouragement and support. Beyond simply teaching the material effectively, tutors have to recognise that for the student, there are compounding events and pressures that they face during high school. Ultimately, it will fall on the tutor to ensure that the student enjoys being tutored and that they can find joy in improving on studies, through both intrinsic and extrinsic motivation.
