Jack's confidence has grown since we first started together, and he has now internalised the 3 fundamental techniques of talking aloud, back checking and pen-to-paper. He is very quick to understand new topics and ideas and makes sure to use the 3 key techniques at all times. If he struggles with a question he will not be afraid to ask for help and will make sure to understand his mistake before attempting the problem again.
Alex is definitely doing good efforts, but he needs to spend more hours in solving more application problems which are the common type in all next year SACs/Exams. All this will definitely enables him to acquire higher math methods' competency.
Lara has knowledge of all the topics in year 9 but she might forget areas taught earlier in the year such as quadratics and would benefit from revising them. Where Lara does not know something she needs to refer to her textbook for help.
Everything is travelling smoothly with Rebecca and Hollie and I'm looking forward to them getting back into it this week.
Tahlia has started to show improvement and confidence in her Maths, since being tutored by Lisa Lin. Lisa is a lovely person and Tahlia has built up a great rapport with her. It is early days, but I can definitely see some good progress.
