And it's not only about the grades. Sure, students who struggle with chemistry want to pass that test and get their grades up. It's usually their only end goal and that's completely understandable. However, we've found that once students start catching up and chemistry doesn't seem like such an enormous hurdle, their self-confidence improves as well.
When they have someone to guide them, make sense of the clutter of information and demands, students tend to struggle less in other areas as well. Your child could feel less anxious about tests and their performance, learn how to tackle tough situations and become more independent, all with the help of a local Brighton East chemistry tutor.

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
We have used a range of learning strategies, especially talking aloud, pen to paper, self questioning. And the student was able to develop his confidence, as well as showing improvements on in writing. Although, there are still gaps to fill but overall he's going really well.
Attitude overall is quite good! Sarah seems to be engaged and willing to learn in Maths. There are topics she does well in and she favours doing these questions. Just have to make sure that she understands the majority of the concepts to get consistently good results in Maths.
Darcy can be a little on the quiet side sometimes and over the past semester she's opened up a little and I hope to get her talking while she works out a problem so it's even easier to come across where she goes wrong in her thinking.
Thank you for your assistance with the 2 sessions my son had with Christina. Christine was very punctual, organised and knew Yr 7 Math, and revision skills very well, and additionally was also a very patient and knowledgeable tutor.
Sean has been a blessing, firstly gaining James trust and allowing him to open up in a safe environment and confront his difficulty with Maths, and then by showing him that math has practical uses and that there is nothing to fear. Without Sean's guidance James would not have progressed so far this year, and we are truly grateful. I wish Sean all the best with his studies and what I am sure will be a successful career.
Corey is enjoying his tutoring with Lital she motivates him and visually works with materials for him which seems to be working. He has only had 3 sessions so over time hoping to see some success.
