We've found that students often need both help with the content and guidance with study strategies in general. High school biology gives students a glimpse of a vast interconnected universe of life on Earth. It can be quite exciting, and in most cases, it's why students choose the subject in the first place. However, as tasks start to pile up, students tend to get overwhelmed.
With so much on their plate, they tend to fall back on simple, but also extremely limited study strategies. It might seem like a no-brainer - memorisation won't take you far, but that's exactly what students fall back on when they get lost.
When that happens, finding someone to guide them can make or break the school year, and that's exactly where we can help.
What we do is match you with a biology tutor in Brighton within a day or two. All we need to get things started is to have a chat with you.
We figure out what kind of support your child needs and organise a one-on-one lesson at your home. There are no extra fees, just a simple hourly rate, and the first lesson comes with a money-back guarantee.
We can start looking for the right biology tutor right now.

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
Again Tim is progressing well and continues to use skills such as note taking, avoiding lazy thinking, making good corrections, etc. The only skill he needs to improve on his is back checking as he is making a few silly mistakes.
In tutorials Joshua is very attentive and engages constructively with my prompts and the material. Joshua attempts school work, but only the questions that seem to be easier. I encourage him to do less of what he is comfortable with, and always attempt some of the last questions from every chapter he is set. These are usually the more challenging questions. If he were to try more questions on his own there would be more active learning and greater progress.
The skills I am most concerned about over the break before next year are his fundamental Algebra/Arithmetic skills. They have the biggest impact and influence most of his other work. If there's an opportunity to refresh these before the year starts that would be great.
