- recommend using a times table song to learn 8 and 9 times tables, as this will make it less stressful - When doing subtraction involving questions where you borrow a one from the tens column , Ella sometimes forgets to take one away. This just needs repetition, until it becomes automatic. So, once borrow, you cross out and take one away from the tens column.

Ella relies on counting up and down for her times tables, and whilst this method works it would benefit to explore alternative methods - such as visually - fractions - revision on 3/4, 2/3rds etc. Ella, worked well with real life examples. - division methods - It would be useful to explore strategies that Ella can use on her maths worksheets - for example using colours and circling key words in questions to help her process what it is asking.
