What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I enjoy getting to know each student and watching them progress as the term goes on. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing a student starts off not confident, become confident as the year or term progresses.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I have a friendly approach and am very patient. Passionate about helping students achieving their capabilities and beyond. Graduated from the Royal College of music and now pursuing career as an accountant.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I think the most important thing I can do is to help the student enjoy the subject , because I’ve found that if someone can enjoy something the learning becomes second nature. The other most important thing is to be supportive, whilst providing a structure that suits the students needs. Maths is a really useful subject to learn and anyone can learn and improve.

- recommend using a times table song to learn 8 and 9 times tables, as this will make it less stressful - When doing subtraction involving questions where you borrow a one from the tens column , Ella sometimes forgets to take one away. This just needs repetition, until it becomes automatic. So, once borrow, you cross out and take one away from the tens column.

Ella relies on counting up and down for her times tables, and whilst this method works it would benefit to explore alternative methods - such as visually - fractions - revision on 3/4, 2/3rds etc. Ella, worked well with real life examples. - division methods - It would be useful to explore strategies that Ella can use on her maths worksheets - for example using colours and circling key words in questions to help her process what it is asking.
