What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
Being able to pass on knowledge from my own experiences during high school, which students can't access from teachers. I enjoy knowing that I am playing a role in helping children who are interested in improving academically achieve their goals, and there is also a significant problem solving and communication aspect to the exchange between tutor and student that is challenging but exciting.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
From past experiences, I've found that students most value my tips and study suggestions from methods that I've attempted over the years. I am able to build good rapport with my students whilst maintaining the professional environment that is necessary for students to remain focused on their learning. I always come prepared and enthusiastic, and I would like to think that this attitude rubs off on my students too!
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
Any tutor can rattle off the concepts that students are learning at school-- what is most valued in a tutor is the opportunity for one on one work where the student's areas of weakness can be explored, and also the opportunity for a safer, more private environment where they can comfortably raise any questions they have, and discuss concepts that they may find confusing or interesting. Furthermore, most tutors have gone through the learning/examination process in the past, and can offer useful suggestions on study/revision methods that they have found helpful during their experience.
