What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I enjoy being able to help people learn. There were many times last year where I was able to make breakthroughs with students who thought they'd never understand a certain topic or pass a certain class, and it was so rewarding for both of us when we were able to achieve results. I love that feeling of being able to do some good and help people feel as passionate as I do about learning.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I think I'm a very understanding and empathetic person. I'm good at being able to figure out if a student just doesn't want to do the work, or if they really are struggling. I'm good at levelling with my students and getting to the root of the problem, and finding different ways to teach concepts until they are easier to understand.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I think the most important thing a tutor can do is to be flexible with their different learning styles. Often when students ask for a tutor it's because they are unable to learn using the method their teacher uses. It's a tutor's job to rework concepts in a way so that students can benefit from it. Simply repeating what a teacher has said isn't enough. The most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to figure out where they're struggling and why, and to discuss and breakdown content so that when that student is back in the classroom, they have a strong enough foundation to go forward.

Jess's cohesiveness and vocabulary could use some work--more concise and clear sentences, less repetition--but is quite good.
