What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
What i enjoy most about tutoring is the ability to answer all questions in a personally applicable manner due to the small number of people in the class. This means that unlike a classroom environment, you are able to pinpoint the stumbling block of the student and work through it with them. This leads to a fuller understanding and appreciation for the course and gives the student and I great satisfaction in overcoming learning barriers.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
Brought up in a joint family, I am very flexible, comfortable and patient with children. That makes it easy for me to know my students better and help them out with their problems on individual level. I believe that that I am a hard working individual, where I strive to do my best at all times. I persevere to make things happen by being committed to a task and I take accountability and responsibility to complete it. Communication skills and interpersonal skills are also critical to ensure that the student is able to understand effectively what is taught, and in a manner that is enjoyable. Coupled with this, are my leadership skills to act as a mentor and provide an effective and reliable means of assisting students reach their academic goals.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I think the most important thing a tutor can do is to get a proper understanding of the level of mathematical 'maturity' of a specific student, rather than just assuming a certain background knowledge. Once this is established, it's possible to get the core of what exactly a student is struggling with (usually a particular fundamental concept) and then strengthen understanding on that issue.
