What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
Creating a safe space where young people can discover an enjoyment of learning and then watching them grow in confidence as they master/understand a subject that they find challenging.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
My ability to build rapport with young people through humour and empathy. This rapport then allows me to create a safe space for them to try and fail as they learn.
I have a deep understanding of mental health/emotional well-being and am highly skilled in managing challenging behaviours.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
Having a tutor can provide students an opportunity to learn in an environment free of the pressures/distractions of a classroom. Creating this safe space for learning can allow a student to master previously insurmountable learning challenges and restore their confidence. This experience can divert students from disengaging with learning and alter their educational outcomes.
