What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
The most enjoyable aspect of tutoring is watching a student’s confidence develop. From feeling “ignorantâ€Â and “inadequateâ€Â to being fully aware of their hidden potential. I see each student as unique and capable of achieving their goals in academics. The most satisfactory reward is seeing the pure elation on their face once they understand a once difficult concept.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
Patience
Having previous experience as a tutor, I am well aware that patience is key to teaching. Everyone learns at their own individual rhythm.
Dedication
Throughout all my academic life, my reports have been consistent in the adjective 'dedicated"'. Dedication to my student's education is one of my upmost priorities, and enables me to provide the best assistance possible.
Flexibility
I have been known to adapt to new challenges. I never back down and always seek a solution. When tutoring my students, I understand the need to tailor each lesson to each unique individual.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
The most important things a tutor can do for a student is to build confidence and self-esteem. Often, people feel discouraged or left out when unable to keep up with their class. They become withdrawn and tend not to believe in their capabilities. By teaching a student challenging topics, I am simultaneously quelling all notions of self-inadequacy. A student can build their confidence in themselves, and become more open to learning and furthering their academic potential. This is important as it supports a healthy mindset and positive look on self-worth.

She does have difficulty in finding some bearings and angles of elevation/depression . We will continue working on this together.

Luka began this lesson unsure of how to solve maxima and minima problems, however I am now very pleased to say she has successfully achieved confidence and the capability to answer HSC style questions on Optimisation and maxima and minima.
Everything went perfect today. Luka was a pleasure to teach and I do not believe she currently has any weak spots on this topic. I advise her to continue practicing so as to not forget this newly learnt skill.
