What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
Maths was always my favorite subject and I have observed that there are more people who dread the subject than ones who love it. I want students to not only be comfortable and at ease with Mathematics but also to fall in love with it. I want to make Mathematics an enjoyable subject for students.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I teach Mathematics at Viewbank College. I get along well with children and young people and know students very well. I have spent a lot of years teaching and mentoring students and young people by bringing out their personal best. The strength of a tutor lies in his/her ability to identify not only the weaknesses and help them to overcome them, but also their strengths which can be put to great use to boost their confidence and mental wellbeing.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
The most important thing a tutor can do is help the student navigate through the subject with a lot of patience and empathy, and all the way, understand the student's limitations and strengths so that the tutor can bring out the best in him.

Katrina is a very conscientious student and picked up the concepts very well. She needed that little nudge and hand-holding to understand better the concepts she had learnt at school.
Working regularly on critical concepts in the following term and taking strategic assistance will help her immensely.

I found that Tyler needed a lot of help in understanding the concepts, but she responded very well to the assistance. We had to cover a lot of concepts in very little time so I provided her with summary and worked examples that she could carry along with as a bound reference permissible during exams
She needs to learn and practice key concepts which will stand her in good stead in year 11. Tyler has the potential to do Maths Methods at VCE if we can work on her foundation skills.
