Student was bright and sharp and easily managed to apply the index laws at simple levels

Student tends to skip working out in both homework and answering questions, which leads to much difficulty in higher level questions

Student was able to get some complex questions correct and was able to remember the index laws and zeroth power law.

The same issue of skipping working out is still prevalent however, an attempt is being made. Student particularly struggles with combining different laws in higher order questions

Questions were of a high difficulty and allowed the student to demonstrate the extent to which he had learned mathematics.

Student struggled severely with higher order questions, particularly new composite questions involving his recent learnings i.e. surd factorization and solving algebraic surd expressions

Student seems to grasp well the fundamental concepts of indices and mistakes in the exam seemed to stem from unwellness rather than unpreparedness

Student relies on mental mathematics and does not put enough into his working, particularly opting to skip steps in lieu of doing them in his head, leading to various minor error.
