What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
Connecting with a student that isn't able to engage with the content they are being taught because of not finding relevance. Then choosing an interest they have and relating it to that. This is when the student is able to use it for Learning for Transfer in the moment, showing that they understand what is being taught.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
Highly engaging and relatable delivery. I never give up on a student, I will help them understand and learn what will best prepare them for the future. I focus on Scaffolding pedagogies along with a pedagogy that I have made that focuses on using 5 mediums to deliver information in order to cover any learning difficulties that the student may have. I also make sure the information is relevant to the student, understood how it could be used in life, as well as having engaging and location-based relevance. I also have a great personality that students can engage with.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
Being a tutor that is energetic, passionate, relevant and engaging. Never giving up on a student. Make engaging work understandable not just in terms of delivery or comprehension, but also in relevance and the application to subjects or scenarios outside the topic. All topics contain information and techniques that can be used for Learning for Transfer, which is applying skills learnt in one scenario to a completely different scenario, and it can be taught in a way that is personalized for the student and create connections that the student will be able to utilize without prompting.
