What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I find immense satisfaction in aiding students to grasp challenging concepts to making their learning journey smoother.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
My strength is creating a supportive and engaging learning environment to allow students to grow without fear of making mistakes.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
My primary focus is guiding students through the subject matter while fostering critical thinking to ensure a deep understanding of concepts. Additionally, I can help them develop growth mindset; to seek assistance, develop confidence to embrace mistakes while understanding the cruciality of learning from those mistakes.

Ariel actively recalled most of the concepts in the cellular respiration process and mostly identified the key inputs and outputs at each step. He demonstrated an understanding of the differences between the aerobic and anaerobic respirations and amount of ATP produced from each process He also demonstrates understanding of the the purpose of photosynthesis and freely recalls the majority of inputs and outputs of each photosynthesis stages.
Although Ariel demonstrates an understanding of the photosynthesis process, he struggles a bit when answering questions that need detailed explanations of the key differences underlying C4 and CAM plant adaptations. However, when prompted to, he could explain most of the details. So, he might need work on more short answer questions to get used to answering question in quick and efficient manner.
Ariel understood the concepts in gene expression processes (transcription translation). He clearly understands the concepts of the topics discussed.
Ariel understood the concepts in gene expression processes (transcription translation). He clearly understands the concepts of the topics discussed.
However, Ariel struggles to connect the conceptual information to the application (DNA manipulation technique), unless prompted to. Again, he will need to complete more questions to get used to making connections between the concepts and how they are applied in real life-based questions.

Ariel is well aware of the coming schedules for his exam revision at school and the timeline. He outlined the topics he found hard to grasp the concept of (i.e., DNA, RNA and DNA replication processes).
We need to review topics he struggles with again to ensure he is confident enough to answer questions about all the concepts. Ariel struggles to answer questions about the DNA replication process and struggles to understand the details.

Leana could recall the concept and ways to find the heat released from fuel combustion. She also recognised and used the mole (n=m/M) and specific heat capacity (Q=mCT) formula to complete calculations regarding fuel combustions. Leana showed the necessary understanding of how to identify the different hydrogen chemical environments and how to calculate the number of splits formed on a specific signal.
Although Leana showed a fundamental and critical understanding of fuel combustion, she often hesitates and doubts her working out calculations. She also struggled to answer short questions that needed linking prior knowledge and integrating new information.
