The most important thing a tutor should do for a student is make them feel good about themselves. If the student develops a mentality where they feel as if they will never be able to learn something, they wont. It will be my job as a tutor to encourage them to believe in their own capabilities and further expand on this with different teaching methods. It is also important to understand that each student is different and will need specific learning styles that cater to their needs. Overall, tutoring can have a great impact on a students life.
