What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

Tutoring affords me the opportunity to make use of the knowledge and skills I have, to make a difference in student's development and to see him/her progressing in their learning process. I also take joy in the challenge of explaining concepts in a way that is more approachable for the students to understand, that may involve different approaches to teaching.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

My strengths include: My ability to use different strategies to explain the content (strategies may involve using verbal and visual explanation). My ability to observe and assess the student's learning needs so I can target the area the student needs to improve. My familiarity in the practice of explicit teaching which involves breaking down problems or tasks in a step by step manner, this helps students to understand and use similar methods as a guide for when they work on other tasks independently.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

The most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to help the student progress in their learning by making learning easier and enjoyable, this is where building a relationship and having step by step instructions based on the learner's needs is important. When a student learns the skills and tools required to solve a problem, they become more confident hence learning becomes enjoyable.
