What do I enjoy most about tutoring? π
The ability to witness the academic growth of a student from the start of the year to the end, and knowing that I was able to contribute towards that growth.
My Strengths as Tutor πͺ
My easy going attitude ensures that a healthy nonjudgemental relationship is established between the student and myself. As a result, the student will always be able to be honest with me in terms of whether or not a certain concept is proving itself difficult at any time throughout the year.
My ability to quickly understand the students strengths and weaknesses ensures that the learning experience will be well tailored and suited for the students capacities.
My ability to explain different concepts with different analogies ensures that students will be able to understand tough concepts.
Most important things I can do for a student π
Mutual understanding of the short term and long term goals of the student. The tutor should respect the students goals and work with them to devise strategies by taking into consideration the students strengths and weaknesses to achieve those goals.
Being able to motivate the student and ensure the student performs to their best without giving up or burning out.
Providing tips on how to deal with study stress that the tutor personally has implemented successfully as the tutor has been in similar positions and would know what works best and what doesnβt in terms of study strategies.
