What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I have had 20+ years 'English as a Second Language' teaching experience and I still love seeing the delight on a student’s face when ‘the penny drops’. This usually leads to an increased interest in the subject and makes the tutoring process more rewarding.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I have a friendly, outgoing nature and I always endeavour to keep classes lively and interactive. In class, I quickly establish a rapport with my student/s by treating them as individuals, not as numbers. I earn their trust by being reliable, consistent and positive.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

The most important things a tutor can do for a student are to listen to them to gauge their level of knowledge and interest in a subject, then to offer motivation and positive reinforcement. This gives the student the confidence to help 'drive' the learning process, with the tutor guiding that process by offering information, skills and encouragement.
