What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I enjoy helping people learn in their own individual ways, and as a student who was tutored myself, I think the journey of a student growing in confidence through months of hard work is immensely gratifying (at least, at the end). I hope also, to be a tutor who is able to guide a student through that journey and grow as a person with them!
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I'm a friendly and organised person, who's not afraid to think outside the box. I like planning in advance, and will adjust to the learning style of the student.
I aim to be more of a friend as a tutor since I'm a student too!
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
Definitely support, both as a tutor academically, and a mentor on a more personal level. I think in order to develop a solid rapport with the student and contribute further to their growth, it's definitely important to get to know who they are outside of academics.
Other important aspects of being a tutor, I think, would be not being afraid to admit mistakes, to engage the student with genuine interest in a subject and to continuously strive to improve themselves as a tutor alongside the student.
