What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I love teaching people new things and showing them that anyone can be good at school work. Watching the understanding on someone's face shine through as they finally get a difficult problem correct is very rewarding.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I am very patient, understanding, empathetic and resourceful. I try to explain a concept in a way that I think would be easiest for the person to understand and simplify it before adding on extra details.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
Help a student to believe in themselves academically and give them the confidence to approach any problem even if they don't immediately know the solution.

Daniel make some really good improvements in his understanding of the cosine and sine rules today. He was able to apply these to worded problems and bearing problems. He became more confident and competent as the lesson progressed.
Daniel feels uncertain at times by bearings so this should continue to be an area of focus for him. Great job today, Daniel!

Daniel manipulated the formulae and identified which trigonometric ratio to use correctly in many circumstances. He was able to draw a diagram from a worded problem and solve these well.
Daniel should continue to practise identifying the necessary ratio to use to be more efficient in his calculations.

Daniel manipulated the formula well most times and was able to make his unknown variable the subject of the equation. He drew diagrams to help solve challenging worded problems and logically ordered his working out.
Daniel is encouraged to keep practicing this skill, particularly when finding angles. He is also encouraged to continue drawing diagrams and gain a better understanding of the different angle relationships as this will help him with these more complex questions.

Daniel demonstrated good knowledge in linear equations, and was able to use this to solve simultaneous equations using both methods. This was a new topic introduced to him which will help with some aspects of his assignment. He had good suggestions for the modelling and problem solving questions we looked at and used his previous answers to help solve the questions.
Daniel should continue to practice problem solving questions as these skills can be used in a variety of situations and subjects. It is important to have developed good problem solving skills, so this will be a target for future lessons.
