What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I thoroughly enjoy being able to support students, and provide them with the skills that they need to have the confidence to apply what they have learnt, and advance upon their current skills in a subject area. I love the thought of being part of a student's academic journey, and a contributor to their success. I believe that every person has the ability to do well in a subject if they put their mind to it, and I enjoy showing others how this can be achieved. I also enjoy the idea of being able to continue to work in a subject area that I'm passionate about, and have a high skill set in!

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I believe that as a tutor, both my patience and listening skills would allow me to successfully identify the academic needs of each student, whilst allowing them to feel supported and motivated to develop on their skills and study habits to improve their results. I am adept in explaining concepts in a clear and concise manner, that provides alternative ways to view and approach areas of the students concern. I also believe that my extensive retail experience gives me an excellent ability to liaise with parents about their children educational development.

I believe that the most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to assist them in developing the relevant skills that they need to be successful and proficient in a subject, to the point in which they have enough confidence within their own abilities to approach the curriculum without feeling that they require extra assistance. The role of a tutor is to support a student on their academic journey, and to develop a growth mindset within the student, so that they have a positive outlook on their learning. The role of a tutor is to explain concepts that the student finds difficult also.
