What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
Seeing students achieve their goals and develop the skills they will need to further succeed in the future. And working with children that love to learn (or grow to) and are excited about their favourite topics and subjects. Also, sharing my passions for creativity, writing, and learning with young people.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I have a very intuitive nature, I can easily read and get along with children of different kinds with different kinds of attitudes. I am easy going, not easily angered and empathetic. I understand what it feels like to not know something, and to struggle to become familiar with that thing also. I know when incentives are necessary and praise is essential.
My background in Psychology also means I am privy to knowledge and strategies that can aid in teaching children more effectively. And I know the clear rights and wrongs.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
To reveal the simple nature of (what may seem) complex. Once a student understands that they have the ability to unravel something they thought was out of their reach, their confidence and newfound ability create a framework for smart study skills and eagerness to learn in the future. Those two qualities are necessary for the independent learning they will encounter in the future. Ultimately, a tutor must instil value in the student's ability to grow and adapt.
