What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I really enjoy working with children and this passion of mine is what pushes me to help students in their learning concepts that form the basis of their future. Alongside this I consider myself fortunate to have the resources to advance in my studies however I hope to also help students who may be going through at though time or lack the sufficient resources to excel to the best of their abilities. I believe knowledge is endless and I am willing to learn a little from my experiences with my students as well as share the knowledge I acquire.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
My strengths include being able to communicate effectively with students from a range of school years but also actively listening to their concerns as I believe asking questions is equally as important as learning new concepts. I am also able to express ideas in creative ways that help my students better understand difficult concepts whether it be thought mindmaps and diagrams or via real life examples. As a tutor I am told by my students that I am very patient and provide them with the time and space they need to develop an initial train of thought individually and then assist as needed.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
Firstly a tutor should be able to find their students' weakness and help them turn this into a strength. This is something that I strongly believe comes with practise and a firm understanding of what is being taught. Secondly, a tutor should cater to their students' style of learning which from my experience as a tutor varies from person to person. Finding this style can really help a student's learning flourish and help them engage in what they are learning. Lastly a tutor should display the willingness to listen and hence encourage their student to share any concerns they have.
