What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I am keen on tutoring because I enjoy assisting my peers to achieve their desired academic results and be successful in their endeavours. I think the core intrigue of tutoring students is being responsible for conveying the course material in a way that suits their diverse learning preferences, being adaptable and tailoring my delivery to the success of the student.

I believe I am patient, meaning I am capable of taking a step back and reevaluating my strategies to suit the needs of the student and ensure that they develop a deep understanding of the coursework. I am comfortable taking the initiative to stimulate an engaging tutor session and getting the student to actively participate in activities. And, I am well-prepared, which is imperative to ensure that my tutor sessions are well-planned in advance and organised to make use of the allotted time effectively.

This is important because it enables the tutor to be critical of their existing teaching habits, to revise their strategies and be adaptable to suit the needs of the student. Simultaneously, I believe it is crucial to match the pace of the student in order to prevent them from being disinterested when in session, to guarantee that they are following along with the coursework and not getting left behind, which could lead to future complications in keeping their attention.
