What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I enjoy helping others in terms of education, whether it be overcoming difficulties in learning or simply enhancing their current knowledge. I also find it particularly rewarding when a student fosters interest and enthusiasm in what they are learning. Lastly, as I have found this year, tutoring also provides the opportunity to pass on, review and expand one's own knowledge.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I have a strong academic background, with experience in research and publication. For students, particularly those studying science, I can effectively develop skills with report writing and assignments, and in general develop broader study skills. My knowledge would be particularly useful for senior students looking to pursue higher education. When it comes to tutoring, I also like to be thoroughly prepared. This includes ensuring that I fully understand the study content before the tutoring session, so I can be of best assistance to the student.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

I think the tutor needs to make the student as comfortable as possible, with themselves and the learning process. A tutor needs to be approachable and encouraging, to ensure that the student is able to open up, allowing them to communicate the particular difficulties they are experiencing in their learning. A tutor should also aim to identify and work with the student's learning style, providing them with strategies to learn more effectively and allowing the student to get the most out of the tutoring session.
