What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I enjoy empowering students the most. Watching a student's eye's light up when you've equipped them with a new skill fills my heart with so much warmth and joy. Showing interest in a pupil's best interests academically, can boost their self-esteem and self-perception so dramatically. As the old saying goes, "knowledge is power."
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I think my communication skills are the most significant strength I have as a tutor. For a student to internalize what you are sharing with them, you have to articulate concepts with clarity and conciseness. My communication skills are not only evident through my English grades, but also through the public speaking I do with Create Foundation. Another notable strength I have as a tutor is my friendly disposition. Through my retail experience, I was reminded of the importance of friendliness - you can't expect to people to be open to learning from you if you come across as cold or aloof.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
1. Empower students by gifting them the knowledge and skillsets needed to succeed
2. Encourage the student to be curious about everything, and to always ask questions
3. Help students perform to the best of their abilities, and to have more faith in their abilities
4. Encourage students to think out of the box, and to find small ways to make completing assessment more personal and rewarding
5. Teach students the value of time management, and teach them how to practice time management
6. Inspire students to try new things! They never know what they might be amazing at if they never try.
