What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

It brings joy knowing that a student, who was once just like me, is able to improve and understand concepts much better. This is especially because I know how much it can mean when taught effectively and would like to do the same. I enjoy being able to connect with the students and to understand their strengths, weaknesses and how they can reach closer to their potential.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I believe I have the ability to understand a student and their needs, which have been refined through my experiences as a Peer Support leader and Peer Reading tutor. This is made possible through my communication skills and my ability to always stay calm. If a student is reluctant to learn, I am able to alter my tutoring method in a way that the student finds more engaging. I also enjoy challenges.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

The most important thing a tutor can do for a student is taking on this journey of improvement with them and assisting them by their side no matter how difficult it may get. This is because it can be extremely overwhelming for a student to do it alone and that is why there are tutors and mentors. The knowledge and wisdom that a tutor possesses is extremely valuable to a student. Moreover, a tutor being able to make a student feel more confident is very significant, such as through encouragement and motivation. This is vital, as it cultivates an interest in learning.
