What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I find tutoring incredibly enjoyable because it is both challenging and rewarding. It requires patience, preparation and focus and I appreciate how much it has honed my attentiveness and listening, and communications skills. I also enjoy connecting with my students and watching them make progress and succeed in their studies.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I believe I am a very compassionate tutor who can balance being both firm and lenient. I make sure to remind them to ask for help when needed and actively try to foster an environment in which they are comfortable and willing to learn. While teaching, I make sure to get down to their level and come up with creative ways to explain difficult concepts. I am also very thorough with content and only move on once I am satisfied the student had demonstrated sufficient understanding. Moreover, I also provide highly individualised feedback and tailor my lessons to the specific needs of the student.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
The most important thing I believe a tutor can do for a student is to inspire them and instil an appreciation for the subject they are teaching. Beyond just explaining different concepts and providing feedback, a tutor should make an effort to emphasize the value of the skills and knowledge they are teaching to the students. I think it's very important to encourage and motivate their students so that they view their education as not just a means to an end, but rather a powerful tool of self actualisation.
