What do I enjoy most about tutoring? π
By practicing communication and problem-solving skills constantly with students, I'll find those skills becoming second nature in my own studies too. Moreover, I would understand different study skills for different students and I enjoying communicate with my students. I enjoy tutoring because it gives me the opportunity to teach in a one-on-one situation, focusing my attention on one willing student, and helping that student to achieve his or her goal. I enjoy building a student's confidence and sharing the joy that comes with improvement.
My Strengths as Tutor πͺ
I am constantly reflecting on my practice and looking for ways to improve. Moreover, since I am an education student, I am familiar with the curriculum and the common misconceptions. Hence, I would design a course that improves the efficiency of learning. Moreover, my strengths are being flexible and patient in dealing with the students and what goes on in the classroom. I have also been told by those that have observed me that I project a sense of calmness!
Most important things I can do for a student π
A good tutor requires to re-evaluate the studentβs objectives as they progress. It is therefore important not to be afraid of creating a new action plan that will be better adapted to each new situation. Meanwhile, in order to establish a good relationship, the tutor must be an energetic person, someone with a lot of enthusiasm with respect to human interactions. This interest will certainly have a positive impact on a child discouraged by the school and his or her bad grades. Furthermore, an excellent tutor requires to listen to the needs of the child and demonstrating openness.
