What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I really enjoy connecting with students and allowing them to discuss new ideas that they've never even considered. I feel I learn a lot from students as well as we go in depth to unpack ideas from books or films.My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I think I am strong at listening to what a student wants and understanding what they actually need. As every student is different, following a script isn't the most appropriate method of teaching, so my ability to figure out which way is the best for each student to learn is a helpful tool. For example, in my experience some kids much prefer bouncing ideas back and forth whereas others operate best with set questions to better understand the text.Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I feel as though the most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to give them the confidence and curiosity to learn more themselves. Personally, I've had certain teachers that have made me want to go out and discover more information independently, and that really motivated me to learn more about that subject. Once that passion and fire is ignited in a student I feel as though both their grades and critical learning skills will grow, which is especially useful for their future beyond school.Tutoring students in 👦 👧
