What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I love fostering a sense of love and passion in children for a particular subject- my favourite part is seeing the lights turn on as they have those 'aha' moments and finally nail a concept! I also love seeing a child's confidence levels rise in an area as they begin to grasp it more and more- this self-belief is something I am always seeking to build in my students.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I am able to build a strong positive relationship with my students- I usually try to assess each individual uniquely and build a plan for them according to their specific strengths and weaknesses. I also often ask their feedback on how they're finding the work- whether they are finding it too easy or too hard- I always like to keep the communication between the student and myself very honest and open.
One of my strengths is that most students find me very approachable and have little difficulty talking to me directly about things that are troubling them or content they are struggling with.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I have experienced firsthand the difference a tutor can make on a child's enthusiasm and engagement with a subject, and I want to pass that onto the next generation of kids.
This passion, I think, is the most important thing a tutor or any teacher can give to their student, because it opens their eyes to the complexity and beauty of the subject- it allows them to fully immerse themselves in it.
I want to help them realise how excelling in English will not only help them ace their tests, but how it can also make them a better human overall and can help them view the world with more insight.
