What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
1. To help students understand what they are doing, what is the point to learn what they are learning, and how they can be effective and practical. 2. To see students start improving and trying to figure out how they can apply the knowledge in their life.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
1. I am a curious person. I always attempt to learn and share new stuff. When giving tutorials, I would like to try different ways to support my students. 2. I am creative. Three years ago, I started writing blogs about English learning and I created blogs about learning vocabulary and sentences from TV series and followers love them! 3. According to my friends, I am extremely patient. Slow learners are not burdens, in contrast, they are the reason why we keep adjusting the syllabus. 4. I've met horrible teachers when I was young, and that's why I want to make a difference.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
No matter which subject the student is learning, s/he needs to know why s/he needs to learn it. Recently, Diane Tavenner, the innovator of American education encourages students to learn whatever they want by asking them to solve problem by themselves. In the field of applied linguistics, we call it 'boost input by producing output'. I believe that a good tutor should help the student find the reason why s/he needs to learn. Usually, the reason can be found from the students' hobby or eager. For example, some kids love bridges and they can learn languages, math, physics and art from it.
