What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I love building rapport with a student. It’s vital they feel safe, that they can be at ease with someone who communicates with them on their level authentically. I love seeing them inspired, excited about learning, growing in confidence and understanding and enjoying English. The ‘Aha’ moments are precious as are their smiles!

I’m an experienced educator and passionate life long learner. I’m skilled at reaching and teaching students who are struggling, shut down, unmotivated. I’m a very enthusiastic teacher who brings the subject alive. Fun and humour are essential to engaging a student. Im an entertaining educator. I care deeply about young people and have a natural ability to connect to students and help them feel valued and heard. I understand many of the challenges facing learning as a process. I bring a multi dimensional approach to learning.

The most important thing a tutor can do is put the student at ease and make them feel heard, seen, understood. validated as the unique person and learner that they are. Provide the student skills and understanding that empowers them to become independent, confident, risk taking, creative thinking learners.
