What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

Seeing students gain confidence as they develop a deeper understanding of the content they were working on. I enjoy creating a bond with a student that leads to a trust in me to provide on-going support. As a tutor I enjoy problem solving the issues that a student has and finding unique ways to get the content across to students in a way that fits their individual needs and ways of learning.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I am a very organised tutor who ensures each tutoring session is planned for each student. I pride myself on my time management, as a tutor I use this skill to ensure each session is used to its advantage and i am able to plan the session within the scheduled time in a way that suits the student best. I am a friendly and encouraging tutor who truely loves seeing the success of others, because of this my intensions behind my work are set in a positive manner.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

A tutor should have good listening skills so that they will better understand students' misconceptions and struggles. It is important to treat each student and how you go about emphasising the content to the students uniquely. A good tutor should aim to be relatable and open to share own experiences with learning and highlight that it isn't an issue to not understand something the first time it is taught. Lastly, it is obviously important for a tutor to teach content and get information across but it is equally just as important to teach students how to learn - figure out how they learn best.
