To me, a tutor can make learning real,relevant and interesting.Tutor can make learning relevant to students's interest which in itself is half the battle won as research has proved that one learns things quickly if those aligns to one's interest. For e.g., a student who like solving maths puzzles will quickly learn new formulas and other things in comparison to the one who feels like solving maths problems just as a task assigned to him/her.
